North Prospect owners

Welcome to the North Prospect home owners website. I have set up this website to help my father a home owner in North Prospect and others to try and keep upto date and informed about the future of their properties. My father was born on Beacon Park Road and still lives in Laurel Road. My name is Ian Smith, I currently live in Merrivale Road. Hopefully this site will help HOME OWNERS in North Prospect build up an understanding of what is going on with the estate and its housing once the Council have handed their stock over to Plymouth Community Homes. This site is completely independant of any Government or Council office and is set up purely to give Home owners somewhere to publish information they may have recieved so that it can be shared with other home owners in the area.

With all the rumours, articles and denials from the Council, Home Owners are quite rightly angry, suspicious and worried. This was evident from the meeting held at the Jan Cutting Centre on the 11th September 2009, where despite their best efforts and intentions the organisers could not cope with the sheer number of people and questions and the meeting soon fell apart. It is essential for their own futures that the Home Owners of North Prospect stick together and put aside their petty problems and FOCUS on the MAIN issue at hand. What does Plymouth Community Homes plan to do with this estate after they take it over on 19th October 2009 and what does it mean to Private Home owners properties. So far nothing but confusion and suspicion has been generated amongst Home Owners since the announcement of Plymouth Community Homes there is obviously an agenda for this area for the time being can remain hidden so long as the Home Owners of this area are kept guessing and wondering about what is really going to happen once things get underway.

Martin Clay has assured me that the North Prospect Partnership website will be back it is suffering technical difficulties. The partnership will be moving to another premises once Phase 1 gets underway.
