North Prospect Home Owners
Email from Barry Wilkins 10th October 2009
Hi all my name is Barry Wilkins i and Mrs Jill Hoskings have been appointed to speak on behalf of the beige homeowners and to attend the meetings between The residents of North Prospect and The newly formed Plymouth Community Homes,I personally have been involved with this since 1996 when cllr king announced through the Herald that large parts of SWILLY were to be demolished. A night Tudor Evens would not forget, since then i have been involved with the Curtains report, and then the appointment of STUFF, This organization was commisioned to identify how Plymouth city council could replace housing stock which according to them was un repaireable. This all died down while the new kid on the block "transfer to new landlord "was banded about, Well that part has been done Now we are back to how can the landlord bring houses up to the government standard 2010. When there is not the cash available. Now in comes Plmouth Community Homes a none profit making organization run by ,you guessed it the old Plymoth City Council. This is where we are at the moment, no i repeat no houses have been identified for demolition at the moment , We will not have this information untill all surveys have been carried out ,this info should be available end Jan 2010. We have a meeting on the 14th Oct and homeowners will be in force at every stage from here on in ,.Myself &jill would like to thank all who attended the meeting on the 7th and have a robust amount of questions to put to Gary French. We as a group will be much stronger if we all help each other and pass on truthfull information. baz
